(P.M.Ferrie)

Mark Ferrie is a Melbourne based musician, songwriter, composer and producer who has been continually active in the music scene both in Melbourne and throughout Australia since the mid 1970s.

He came to national prominence, firstly as a member of the Models in the late 70s and early 80s, and later as a member of the Sacred Cowboys in the early to mid 80s. As a member of the Models, Mark was honoured to be inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame in 2010.

He has played, toured and recorded in numerous musical combinations since then, most notably the RocKwiz Orkestra, the house band for the popular SBS television quiz show which recorded 177 episodes between 2005 – 2016.

His solo career boasts three self produced albums – ‘Actual Reality‘ (1994), ‘Nuts and Bolts‘ (1997) and ‘On Hold‘ (2017). His compositions also featured in recordings by The Mercurials, a trio popular on the folk festival circuit in the 2000s which, along with Mark on guitar and vocals, also included guitarist Andrew Pendlebury and cellist/vocalist Adi Sappir.

The track on this compilation was recorded and mixed with incredible dexterity by Shane O’mara at his Yikesville studio and features the inimitable Harry O’mara on drums..
